CAPITA PIP ASSESSMENT was created by Catherine Harvey
I have received an invite to a face to face assessment for PIP [transferring from DLA] The venue is Castle Heights Nottingham which looks fairly inaccessible. I have been provided with 4 travel options, all involving walks from 59 to 1000 ft and public transport. I am unable, as i stated in
my application, to walk more than 20 metres in a stable, reliant and consistent manner. I am seeking advice on: a] Does this indicate that I am not being believed? and b] Can anyone who has had an assessment at Castle Heights share their experience with me?
Many thanks Catherine

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

I don't think that it is so much a question of them not believing the distance that you can walk, there criteria for attending at their offices is far broader than this. I'm afraid you are very unlikely to get a home assessment without your GP writing to the Assessment Provider explaining why you cannot attend at their offices.
Have a look at the following for info about the assessment centre.

You could also have a look at the building and the area near it on Street View in either Google or Bing maps.
