ESA50 Supporting documents query - ME sufferer was created by beekles
Hi
about to embark on filling my son's next ESA50. His claim goes back 10 years. The first form he was given enough points for WRAG. second form he was granted WRAG via Exceptional Circumstances, last time we had to go to Tribunal but we won.
As this is an on going claim do we need to send again all the documentation/ Hospital/GP letters we have used previously , some of which go back to 2000.? My inclination is to do that and treat this as if we were starting from scratch so they get the lot again with the additional support docs from his treatment now. Many Thanks beekles

We recommend that you treat ESA reassessment as a new claim and include any evidence that you want to be reviewed, even if it has been submitted before.
If your evidence is old, then you will need to explain why it is still applicable to his limitations as they are now.

Thanks Gordon - Just what I thought and how we were going to treat it anyway. The various letters/reports just to show that he has ME/ CFS from the age of 13 and that it has blighted his life and continues to do so as he approaches 30. Throw in depression and major gastric surgery which muddies the waters further.
Will report back how we get on for all the ME sufferers out there. Struggling with ME for years is bad enough but fighting DWP too is just soul destroying.
