preparing a meal was created by werbil
Hi. My son has just turned 16 and we have the pip form to fill out, My son has autism anxiety and selective mutism. He has never prepared a meal in his life, mainly because he cannot eat a normal meal, he still has a baby jar and mixed with mashed potato and blended smooth for tea every single night. He will not touch food if he can help it and certainly wouldn't be able to touch raw food. He refuses to even come into the kitchen apart from to get drinks. What on erath do I write on the pip form about preparing a meal?

It seems to me that you have a very good understanding of the things you need to include on the form, the only things I would include in addition aer his reaction when he is confronted with any of these things, so how would he react if confronted with raw food and why an aid or why prompting, assistance or supervision from someone else would not allow him to overcome these issues.
Have a look at our PIP Claim guide for more information.
