Hi there,
It's been a year since PIP was stopped, still waiting for it to go through tribunal - does anyone know the timescales for this - is it worth starting from scratch, or will I loose the last years money?
Thank you,
Tommy

Contact the Tribunal Service for an update on timescales for your venue.

You can make a new claim for PIP but doing so will result in a new Decision which will limit the result of your appeal, you don't have to cancel this to start a new claim. Worst case, you win your appeal (with back payments) but the new claim results in no award, it will be the latter that will be carried forward and you will have to make a new appeal

There will be three members of the panel, a Judge or solicitor, a doctor and a layperson with experience of disability issues.

The questions will mostly come from the doctor.

They will be asking about how and why you meet the criteria for an award of PIP so make sure you understand the Descriptors that you are hoping to meet.

Best of luck.

Hi there,
Want to say thank you for all your help.
Went to the Tribunal yesterday. The Judge asked me to step outside,
called me back in, and said they weren't going to ask me any more
questions and that DWP had got it so wrong.
What a huge relief, such a stressful 15 plus months. I am not a liar.
All done until 2022.
Thank you,
Tommy

Very pleased for you, well done.

It normally takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to process a Tribunal Decision, I would give them a call next week to make sure that they have received the Decision Notice.
