DLA to PIP SUCCESS!

The brown envelope arrived this morning!
I was literally shaking when opening it as my husband and I feel we have been completely shut down over the past, well nearly a year now, not knowing what to expect.
After advice from the Forum in April I contacted our MP to ask for assistance as my request for a home assessment was declined. After our MP's intervention I was given a home appointment and feel I was more able to take part in the assessment due to not having to travel thank you so much for your support and advice in this. The award was more than we dared to hope as I have received enhanced for both elements for the next 10 years.

Had face to face on 1st June with Capita HCP. The lady was very nice and put me at ease. She completed her form and was typing more than I had put on my application. I was completely at ease with her and she appeared very understanding.
One thing when I was waiting to see the HCP there was CCTV in reception and another HCP was asking the reception staff about a claimant ho had just left and then they watched a recording of the reception area.
Anyway I rang DWP today and they gave me result on the phone. I had gone from Higher Rate Mobility to include lower rate Care. Over the moon to say the least
