CAN ATOS MAKE A DECISION WITHOUT A F2F? was created by jewel
Hi
First post so apologies if I'm posting in wrong place or not doing this right !
Transferring from DLA to PIP and sent form back 7 weeks ago. Called DWP today and it's with ATOS.
does this mean I will definitely be having a f2f or could they still make a decision based on my form and evidence ?
I asked not to have a face to face as I'm so unwell physically , recently lost my mum and have PTSD and terrible anxiety. I said I couldn't cope with a f2f and asked if they could use my evidence to make a decision if at all possible. I sent 16 documents mostly letters from consultants and carers but also an extensive physio report.

ATOS should have reviewed your file when they received it from the DWP so I would expect you to be asked to attend a face to face assessment.
A F2F will be required as long as ATOS believe that they have insufficient information to make a recommendation to the DWP.
I'm afraid you are unlikely to avoid this requirement without the help of your GP, you need them to write to ATOS explaining why a F2F would have a serious impact on your conditions.
Would a home assessment be a reasonable compromise, if yes, then your GP will need to explain why you cannot attend at their offices.
Your MP may be able to apply additional pressure on ATOS to do a Paper Based Review, but only if your GP has previously contact ATOS.

Thank you Gordon for replying so fast and for the info.
I can't think what more I could say or add to my form or answers and I submitted a ton of strong evidence including functional assessment from physio, so I guess they still think they need to see me.
How stressful. I don't think I can cope with anything else and I also think I have broken or dislocated my toes so I'm in pain and feel as though I'm breaking down. My health stuff is so complex and hard to manage each day on top of this.
I'm in the support group and was on higher DLA for both care and mobility although I know criteria have changed.
I will ask my GP if she might write in but she doesn't seem to like getting involved !

How do I find out where all my information actually is ? DWP that ATOS had told them there were delays of 8-12 weeks just to even get scheduled for f2f.
Do I just contact main ATOS and they will tell me where to write in to ?
