Dla to pip for seizures was created by Karen
Has anyone been successful in claiming pip for seizures and if so do you have any tips for completing the form. My daughter has turned 16, she has received dla for 15 years mr personal care and lr mobility. She requires constant supervision as seizures can happen at anytime without warning therefore making cooking, bathing, going out extremely dangerous not to mention the anxiety and depression she suffers with as a result of this. The seizures also take days to recover from as she is very tired and confused afterwards. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

It is possible, you will need to show a need for supervision, not all of the PIP activities include this.

There is a specific section in the PIP Claim guide that you should look at Safety and supervision

If you have any specific questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.

I am awaiting tribunal Karen, but in my assessment, she had wrote because I had not phoned ambulance after seizure and also after absent seizures too. I live alone, and asked my neurologist, if a fall watch would help, he said it could. The thing is calling a ambulance after the incident in my case sometimes I don't recall it can cause annoyance to the service's. I will be adding this in at the tribunal. Also because of stress I have been having more now, and been telling tribunal and neurologist, but neurologist specialise's in his field, then I have to go back to my shrink to tell him whats happening
