DWP ARE SCUM was created by dwpeedonme
A few weeks ago DWP wrote me saying that I didn't attend an assessment and I needed to give good reason for not attending or my DLA-PIP claim would be disallowed. I wrote back telling them I didn't know about the appointment. I didn't get a letter or phone call asking me to atend. Not this time anyways. I had other appointments with them but with help from my GP they were stopped and I didn't lose benefit. This time my money stopped within 2 weeks of the dwp getting my explaination for not turning up to their appointment. I have been told my reasons for not attending are a load of rubbish and my final dla payment will be tommorow. I've asked them to reconsider and submitted a letter from my GP that asks them to do a home assessment if needs be. I'm now waiting for their response. In the meantime I wonder what else I can do. My GP wrote telling them I suffer from depression anxiety personality disorder and self harm. I also sent a letter from staff that recntly did an Autism pre assessment and it says I am going to see clinicians for diagnosis. I've done my best to avoid mental health services and have really only dealt with GP. I'm going to engage with the autism assesors though. That is asuming I don't become unwell to the point of being sectioned. Its never happened before but I can feel things spiriling out fof control due to all this stress. I actually sent the dwp a blood covered esa application form some years ago and they awarded me esa support immediately. I wonder if I shoudl send them more blood. I might find out how to broadcast live on facebook or youtube and then ring the dwp to ask where they want it sent. They are murdering scum so I wouldn't be surprised if they gave me an address. Seriously though, what happens if they still say no pip for me ?? do they send a letter detailing how many points I was awarded ? or will they just disallow the claim so they dont need to explain anything ? I don't want to go to appeal but I will do. And I will turn up to court with a friggin rope around my neck !!!

Any MR/appeal that you make will only be concerned with your failing to attend the assessment, no Decision on your claim can be made without a medical report.

If the DWP do not accept your reasons and I have to warn you that it is very likely that they won't then you will have to request a Mandatory Reconsideration of the Decision. This needs to be in writing to the DWP office that was dealing with your claim.

In the interim you need to make a Subject Access Request to Assessment Provider for the following;

1. A copy of the missing invitation letter.
2. A copy of your computer record showing the address that they have on file for you.
3. Proof that the letter was posted by the AP and when.

You can write a letter to AP headed "Subject Access Request", you can find the address from the following.

www.atoshealthcare.com
or
www.capita-pip.co.uk/contact-us.aspx

You should also contact your local Royal Mail office to see if there have been problems with mail deliveries in your area.

Do you have examples of mail going missing before?

Is your address one that could easily be confused with someone else's?

Can you check with your neighbours whether they have had the letter?

Alternatively, you can make a new claim for PIP immediately, there is no waiting time.
