esa money? was created by Peter
Hi, I am totally confused by the money for esa .... I am in the support group, and its continuation has been confirmed.
Up until 19 August it is as expected £125.55, however it says from19 August it will be £188.00 ... it says because of a change in money coming in?
It gives a break down of how the £125.55 was worked out but nothing about that vast jump to £188.00 from August 19 2017.
I have a pip claim .. is this being added somehow ... I am confused.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

The extra £62.45 is consistent with your receiving the Severe Disability Premium, this is paid when an ESA claimant also has an award of PIP Daily Living, they live alone or are considered to live alone and no one claims Carers Allowance against their PIP.

I think you need to contact the DWP, the extra amount is an exact match for the SDP and there are no other payments which match the amount even closely, however, your DLA award is not sufficient to enable payment of the Premium.

Thanks, my pip award came through and I got standard care and enhanced rate mobility ... so I assume that is the reason for the extra money as you stated .... you have been very helpful
