After getting my DLA to PIP letter I applied by telephone. One question bothered me, i e, ' Do you live in sheltered accommodation ' ? My instinctive reaction was to say no, as my understanding is that we live in ' Rented Retirement Property. I can only assume that DWP ask the question to prejudice my claim if they can. I do not receive any 'care', although some residents of my building do. What is the definition of 'Sheltered Accommodation ' for benefit claim purposes ?

The issue is whether the Housing is funded out of the public purse, either by your Local Authority or the MHS, as you describe it as "rented" I assume this does not apply. If it did then you would not be able to receive PIP.
