ESA support group was created by Annieg1
I am currently in the ESA support group due to my National Insurance Contributions and get £112.05 per week plus PIP. I have just moved in with my boyfriend. Will my ESA be affected by this as I realise this is non means tested and also not savings related?
Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
As long as your ESA is 100% contributory, it will not be affected by your move.

Where can I check if it's 100% contributory? Thank you

Your latest update letter (you should have had one around April time) will tell you, although it can sometimes be difficult to decypher!

Apologies for being stupid! My original letter back in 2013 says"you have recently been reassessed to contribution based employment and support allowance and place in the support group". "You are entitled contribution based employment and support allowance"
When looking at my latest letter dated 2017 my esa has been reduced due to occupational pension using the formula of £85 - 50% but on the page "how your esa has been worked out" (pg3) there is an amount against income related? I'm totally confused
Please help me!

Are you sure that your ESA payment is £112.05 as this is not consistent with an ESA(CB) award in the Support Group, or is this your fortnightly payment?
If you are having pension deductions from your ESA then this would be first done to any ESA(IR) that you are receiving, if your ESA(CB) is also being reduced, which appears to be the case, then this would only happen after all of your ESA(IR) payments had been removed.
