New claim was created by Jane
I have COPD moderate/severe and last January was diagnosed with arthritis in both hips and lower spine. I find it hard to stand for any time and walk. I can drive when I am able to get to the car and actually get in it. I have been paying an osteopath to help me but am considering claiming PIP. This is new to me so I have joined to see how the site can assist me in making a claim. I did try once before for COPD only and the claim was declined as I could walk albeit slowly. Now things have changed. I am meeting with my GP later this week for assistance and wondered what I should ask her, I am happy to pay for a report should I ask her for the same and should I ask the osteopath for a report also?

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

To receive an award of PIP Mobility you will need to show that your walking is limited to less than 50m, you need to be able to do this reliably and on the majority of days not to score.

Have a look at our PIP Claim guide on the following link, it explains the criteria in more detail and how the terms under reliability operate.
