Hi
Just a quick question on completing PIP 1003. If you cannot carry out an activity due to pain, do I need to actually use the word Reliably in my comments?
Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

If you cannot carry out an activity at all, then you cannot do it. Full stop. If reliability is an issue you should bear in mind the following terms -
• Safely – in a fashion that is unlikely to cause harm to themselves or to another person.
• To a necessary and appropriate standard – given the nature of the activity.
• Repeatedly – as often as is reasonably required.
• In a timely manner – in a reasonable time period.
• Safely – in a fashion that is unlikely to cause harm to themselves or to another person.

The word "reliably" is a convenient catch-all term for the four requirements under it, you need to refer to these rather than just saying reliably. See the PIP Claim guide for a more detailed explanation.
If you cannot complete an activity due to pain then this would come under the "Safely" term but be aware that there is no requirement for you to complete an activity pain free, so you must explain how and why the pain prevents you from completing the activity in detail.

Hello all
I’m slowly completing the PIP 1003. Question 5 Managing treatments- Is it still the case that only 1 point can be scored if you need medication supervised due to previous overdose’s. ?
Thanks for all the support Gordon and Co. provide for us all. The Benefit system is a minefield and we need guidance in claiming what we are entitled to.

Yes, the March change re-defined "therapy" to exclude the taking or application of medication so the most you will score is the one point.

Hi all
Regarding my PIP claim, I have two doctors letters and am giving as much info as I can. I have an MRI result which was done in 2012.
Is this too old to include?
Also are any PIP decisions made without a f2f?
I’m terrified of having to attend one.
