ESA ending soon but still not able to work was created by Jan Bowers
Hi. I am in receipt of ESA but it comes to an end in October. Unfortunately due to multiple health issues I am unable at this time to return to work. Is there any benefit that I could apply for to take its place.

From your previous posts you are in the Support Group so there is no reason why your ESA will end unless you have failed a reassessment.

Hi Gordon
Thank you for your reply. It is good to know that my ESA won't end. I have not had any further medicals and my circumstances have not changed. I spoke with someone at DWP last week and at first she said my benefit will continue although she wasn't sure so she went away and checked then said my ESA will end on 18th October. Hence the confusion. I have been losing sleep over this so thanks for your help.
Regards Jan

I'm afraid the DWP call centre staff are often badly trained, we frequently hear of them giving out incorrect information
