Hi, I am currently in the support group of esa and indefinite dla which is due any time to be assessed for pip. Awaiting this is terrible, waiting for dreadful brown envelope to come through my door, so now I am worried about universal credit as I know I am going to be transfered on to this aswell, are they just randomly transferring people to uc or are they not transferring people in my situation yet. No ESA claimants are being transferred to UC and New ESA at the moment (see below) and won't be for at least a couple of years and likely more.
The only exception to this is if the claimant needs to make a claim for UC for other reasons, for example moving from Local Authority to another will necessitate a new claim for Housing Benefit and therefore a claim for UC if the new LA is a fully live UC area.
