Double Assessment? was created by billhan
Hi,
I sent in my completed ESA50 back in mid July. Not heard a thing
from them.
After five weeks or so I received my "Your DLA is ending letter".
I am worried that the first of these has triggered the DLA to PIP switch
and that both are being done together. Can they give me one
F2F for both these assessments? Can they assess both my
benefits together?
Did use recorded delivery (at cost of over seven pounds) so I
know they have received ESA form. Surely I should have
had at least an acknowledgment by now?

I'm afraid they do not acknowledge receipt of ESA50s but you would most certainly have heard by now if they had not received it.
Members are posting of a 6-9 month wait for an ESA assessment, you can check with Maximus for delays in your area.

The assessment criteria for ESA and PIP are too different for you to be assessed for both in one appointment.

This is calming news. Thank You.
Two F2F in a short time would be very stressful so a delay
might be useful.
