Hi all, I'm pleased to say that my appeal was allowed and I was awarded 21 points rather than the original 9. I previously received ESA which was contribution based and understand this stops after 12 months. My appeal Decision Notice doesn't state whether I will be placed in a WRAG but I expect I will as all my points were awarded from the physical sections and I received 6 points for Standing & Sitting, 9 points for Reaching and 6 points for Consciousness during waking moments. My questions are how long will it take to hear from DWP, when/will I receive backdated money to when my claim ceases/was refused and can I receive income related ESA as my job is still open and I'm receiving half pay via Aviva as I subscribe to an insurance scheme. Many thanks for your help and good luck all!
Based on the points you have scored you have been awarded the WRAG.
It should take the DWP 5-8 weeks to process an appeal Decision, you might want to contact the DWP office that deals with your ESA to make sure that they have received the Decision Notice from the Tribunal Service.
If you have not already done so, make sure that the DWP know about the insurance payments that you are receiving.
