Audi recorded ESA Assessment was created by craig41
After submitting my health assessment questionaire 3 months ago,I have just received an appointment for a face to face assessment. I requested that I wanted the assessment to be audio recorded by the health profesional at the time of submitting . It turns out that the appointment would not have been audio recorded, after making contact with the service. I have therefore arranged for a new appointment which i have been told will be recorded.
I note that other members have been told that their assessment would be recorded but when turning up to given some excuse that it wont be.
If this should happen to me, where do i stand if i refuse the assessment ...based on no audio recording equipment being present
Thanks in advance

The DWP have said that they will not accept a failure to record the assessment as Good Cause for a claimant failing to attend or participate, so you need to be very careful about what actions you take.
Maximus should offer a replacement assessment where the recording facilities can be made available but you cannot insist on this and if they do, then it must be very clear that you are not being held at fault for their doing so, this is particularly the case if you have already moved the appointment once. The appointment being moved due to your original request to record it should not count against you.
