Still on DLA not been asked to move to PIP

Still on DLA not been asked to move to PIP was created by Linababe
Well after the decision on my ESA was changed back after the mandatory reconsideration request was sent and being put back on the ESA support group I rang tthem to ask when the monies would be in my account.. so I can juggle around my bills etc.. The guy on the phone asked me if I was on PIP I said no it was still DLA low rate mobility (It think I was put on it indefinately ages ago) He said I should go to claim PIP as I would get another componant on my ESA and get an extra £60.. AT this stage I have been so stressed out last few months that I just cant bear to fill out more forms so told him Ithought I would be sent a letter to move me onto PIP I ddint know I had to apply for it.. So my question is what should I do?? do I wait for them to contact me to change it over to PIP if so will I have to fill out those forms again?? or should I ask to claim PIP Now myself?? So confused :(

I'm afraid it is up to you, at some stage in the next couple of years you will be invited to claim PIP, or you can elect to claim it now.

Before you make any decision about an early transfer, have a look at our PIP Claim guide, the PIP criteria is very different from that for DLA and you cannot rely on receiving a similar award on the new benefit.

Thank you.. yeah I have been reading the guide today wow so much to read and to take in lol.. I just dont know what the guy on the phone was talking about when he said "if you claimed pip you can get another componant on esa approx £60" my DLA is only the low rate mobility allowance.. but a friend who helped me write the mandatory reconsideration said I should claim for the higher rate with the descriptors we used for the ESA .. Its difficult for me to take all this in im having trouble reading and retaining it all lol its like another language to me lol ...

They are referring to the Severe Disability Premium which is payable if your receive Income Related ES, receive a PIP Daily Living award, you live alone and no one claims Carers Allowance against your PIP award.

Sorry Gordon and to the original poster for butting in here? But I had to ask because I've heard about this extra premium?

I was wondering also about this severe disability premium, as I get income realated ESA support and now on enhance care/Mobility PIP after my change from DLA recently. Do I have to claim it or does it get added automatically to my ESA. I also live on my own and no one looks after me or gets paid either to care. Thanks in advance.
I was formely known as (GoingOffMyHeadWithThisGovernment) Won PIP November 2017 ongoing award HR both. Now kept and got my ESA Support group but took a while.

Contact the ESA office dealing with your claim, they should have contacted you about this. From your post you should be entitled to the Enhanced Disability Premium as well.
