receiving news after sending in esa 50 was created by hari om
Hi I sent the esa50 form away about five weeks ago and i have heard nothing.In the past they have answered within two weeks to request a face to face assessment.Is this good news or just normal that they are taking this long to get back to me.I am currently in the esa support group.Many thanks,George.

There are considerable delays in the ESA assessment process, members are reporting waits of six or even nine months.
You can try contacting Maximus (HAAS/CHDA) for an update of wait times in your area.

Hi Thanks, Gordon has anybody else had this issue with long delays for response from processing the esa 50.Wondering if i am awarded esa support group again it starts from the time of my medical or decision if no medical is required.

can you please clarify. I read this and understand that you were previously receiving ESA in support Group, (Like me)
Are the DWP stopping payments of this ESA benefit for the duration until they Make a decision even for ongoing claimants? Horrified if this is the case

You have misunderstood the previous posts, there is nothing that says that the ESA payments will be stopped.
