After the Tribunal

My tribunal hearing was this morning. The DWP did not turn up. The questioning was like the Spanish Inquisition. The worst of the three was from the Disability Expert who reduced me to tears when asking me about my mental health - in particular the voices I experience. We had to take a break for me to recover. My husband said they looked shocked when I broke down. They then said they would post the decision. This all took an hour. If they take a long time in the hearing, is that usually a bad sign? How about the posting of decision? My other half does not feel hopeful.

Sorry to hear that it was so difficult for you. Neither the time for the hearing or the fact that they are posting their Decision is reflective in any way of their Decision.
Decision letters usually take three days so you may not hear until the weekend.

Five days later still waiting. CAB hasn't had any news as of yet either.

If there is nothing in tomorrow's post then I would chase the Tribunal Service.

Amy8596 wrote: Thanks. Just had news it was rejected. They gave me 5 points in total which was 3 more points than DWP gave me. They mention it is clear my health has deteriorated since April however and they seem to indicate I should consider applying again. Will get representation from the beginning next time. Exhausted from the whole process at the moment.

I'm sorry to hear this,
If your conditions have deteriorated since you were assessed then this could not be taken into account by the appeal panel, but can be included in a new claim.
There is no waiting time to make a new claim, so do so as soon as you feel up to it.
