After asking for mandatory reconsideration. 2 duplicate mandatory reconsideration notices arrived. Discission not changed. Only scored 6 points for descriptor 11. The only descriptor I said son could do, as he has alarm on phone and has not forgotten how to use washing machine. Put under special circumstances for 18 months as they agree he is not fit for work at present. Started getting more up to date support letters from 3 charities involved in his life and battered my own brain trying to give reasons he should score points for other descriptors. Been advised to give it all to professional advisors as I guess we have to go though the appeals process. Doctors statement was full of assumptions and a compete lye, saying my son goes to town with his girlfriend. How can they get away with lying. All assessments should be recorded.. Do unfair. Can't do this myself . Too stressful. Affecting my mental health. Any advice as to whether to ask for assistance from cab or dras.

If you can get help then it is always worth doing so.
Do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county. You can also try any charities that specialise in your son's conditions.

I asked for extra time to send more evidence. Have 2 support letters and tried covering no points for activities 16 and 17. Do I send new support evedience or hang fire and throw it all at them at appeal. Not literally. Think I need an sscs1 form now. As son is now in wrag can they stop his ESA while we are appealing the decision. Thanks Gordon.

ThePIP ESA Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.
Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through yourPIP2 ESA50, the assessment report and the ESA Claim guidea to see how you might show this is the case.
