I have a tribunal meeting early next month and would be interested to know your thoughts on a bit of a difficult issue. Whilst I have good medical reports (I need 12 points mobility and have 10 already) my daughter has written a very good personal letter telling of my issues and difficulties as she sees me daily. However, she is a doctor (psychiatry) and she isn't sure as to whether she signs Dr at the end in case it appears to be manipulative. My own GP has done the template from your site so many thanks. Regards and thanks.
There's no reason why she should not sign it as a doctor, but there are two issues that she needs to be aware of.
First of all the panel can only consider your conditions and limitations as they were at the time of the Decision being appealed so anything that she writes must make it clear that this is the case.
If she signs it as a doctor then she must explain that her report is the result of a formal review of your conditions, as she would do for any other patient.
