I have been asking my GP for months to support me at my upcoming Tribunal via a letter to explain how my disabilities affect me. All along he has has agreed and promised faithfully that he would help. I even offered to pay for the letter but he said he would do it for free. Now he has had a total change of mind and refuses any help not just to me but to all his patients in a similar position, reason being he does not get paid by the government to do this and it takes too much time. I have only just signed up with a new practice as the old one just doesn't give a damn about its needy patients.

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
I'm afraid GPs are under no obligation to provide patients help with their benefit claims and it is becoming increasingly common for them not to.
You can request a copy of your medical r4ecords as held at your GP Practice. See

Don't despair, I didn't have any gp letters or consultant letters. The tribunal were very impressed by my daily diary, which gave them a good clear view of what my daily struggles are.
