Is 20-25 mins quick for an ESA Assessment?

Hi
Went for my ESA Assessment last week.
My eldest brother went with me and took me to the Assessment. Was asked a few questions in relation to the questions on the form and the Assessor asked to see my Meds and made a record of them. Then the Assessor said it looks like we have all we need and ended the Assessement. I had added in depth information with regard to each question about my health problem also, Consultants reports for the last 2 years, letter of dismissal from work at end of last year on capability grounds/ill health and also a Occ Health report paid for by my employer before I was dismissed. Cutting to the chase, would you say that my Assessment was a bit short in the scheme of things in that it lasted about 20 minutes?
Many Thanks.

You will have to forgive me but I long ago gave up trying to predict the result of an assessment based on how it went or how long it took, we've seen assessment that only took a few minutes result in a Support Group award and ones that took several hours result in no points being scored.

An ESA Decision should not take more than 2-4 weeks.

Hiya rob100, I had it once and was only in the assessment (Atos) then for 7 minutes and was placed in the wrag for 2 years, then a paper based since that one and now in support group.

Gordon what a mindfield this whole sorry state is. I'd rather little time than 2 Hours in some cases I've seen on here.

I was formely known as (GoingOffMyHeadWithThisGovernment) Won PIP November 2017 ongoing award HR both. Now kept and got my ESA Support group but took a while.

Thanks Battle. My Assessment just seemed a bit short. They said I should recieve a decision in 4-6 weeks.
Best wishes. Rob.

rob100. Don't worry, yet if you want to get ahead of the game you could phone ESA and ask for the report which is done from your assesment. Phone the office dealing with your claim and ask for the report called an ESA85 it doesn't cause any problems asking for it I have all mine it will give you a heads up on how your assesment went most members give it a few days after the assesment then phone and ask for it.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.
