Just received notification of DLA to end and to apply for PIP. I have been dreading this day am so scared of losing my car and therefore my independence. Does anyone know how long after forms are submitted to assessment? I know I will be in a really anxious state now until it is all over. Also is it ever possible for them to just go off application and evidence and not call you for assessment? Regards Janine
I would estimate 3-6 weeks for hearing about an assessment.
It is possible to be assessed without the need for a face to face but it is rare for this to happen, it will depend on your conditions, their severity and most importantly the evidence that you have supplied with your form.
