Confused now!

A paragraph in the letter under the heading “new decision “ states that I now have 14 points for daily living so I qualify for the enhanced rate but not mobility.
I telephoned the DWP who confirmed that they have this information on file but no date as to when it will be paid - I’m entitled to it from 2015 to August 2018 - or whether it will be backdated. They told me to ring the court. I did this and the court said they have had no correspondence from DWP and to assume the hearing is still going ahead (even though I haven’t got a court date yet).
They then said that if I haven’t heard anything in a month to call again.
Is this usual procedure in an appeal case?

Was the letter actually part of the bundle or sent separately?
Has there been any other contact from the DWP?
What award are you appealing for?

If your appeal is for a Mobility award as well then the DWP will not action the Daily Living award and will leave you to continue on to appeal.
Are you going to make a submission for the appeal?

Alison Smith wrote: It says in the letter that I only scored 4 points for mobility so do not qualify. Should I speak to them and say I’m not appealing the mobility so I can be paid the dla or just let it go to appeal?
Contact the DWP about the letter to let them know that you are willing to cancel the appeal if they honour the letter.
