Pip assessment was created by Joan
Hi everyone, i have been helping my neighbour to claim PIP and after being awarded nil points took it to tribunal and she was awarded standard rate care. When we went to tribunal she had a severe panic attack and had to be taken out of the room and the security had to take her outside, as she couldn't breathe, I continued with the tribunal as I had given her the most support. The whole experience has set off panic attacks regularly especially if having to deal with DWP , the award has come up for review, she has just had a letter to attend FtF, and she has panicked about it. Is there anything I can do to change this as I don't want her to be in the state that she was in last time , she did not suffer with panic attacks before this tribunal any advice would be appreciated

If a face to face appointment has already been sent then it's unlikely that a Paper Based Review will no be done, it will require additional medical evidence to answer any outstanding questions that the assessor has.

They may be able to get a home assessment if that will cause them less anxiety, they will need their GP to write to the Assessment Provider explaining unambiguously why they cannot attend at their offices.
