I’ve sent my ESA form in. I am in the support group at the moment. Can you advise if everyone gets called for a medical or are any solely paper based?

The vast majority of assessment will require a face to face, whether you qualify for a Paper Based Review will depend primarily on the information in and with your ESA50.

Hi Gordon I sent in my ESA 50 and had an assessment this morning with a HCP. I,wasn’t in with him very long, he said I had been called for the appointment as my Gp hadn’t been very helpful in filling in the form they had sent to him. Said the other medical evidence spoke for itself and I shouldn’t worry. Does this seem promising for me to stay in the support group and when should I expect to hear?

You will have to forgive me but I long ago gave up trying to guess an award based on how the assessment went. :(

It’s now over two months since my ESA assessment and I still have not received any decision. Does it usually take this length of time?

We are seeing some slow down due to Summer holidays but I would still have expected you to have heard by now, I would call them for an update.
