I’ve applied for Contributions based ESA as I’m not in work at the moment. My husband passed away in January and I spent the past year being his carer 24/7, I had my own business but closed that down to care for him. He made sure that I was left with no debts and some savings to help me in the future but I don’t want to use all my savings to live on. The dr signed me off work due to to anxiety and stress caused by bereavement for minimum 3 months, then I have to revisit and see how things have progressed. In all honesty, they haven’t progressed I’m in a worse state now than before, barely able to leave the house alone without getting worked up into a state of pure anxiety unless it’s to a familiar place. How on earth do I fill in the ESA50 to the best of my ability, stress due to bereavement isn’t a recognised medical condition. The £100 bereavement support is not enough to pay the council tax let alone pay the bills!
