Hi guys I am on ESA contribution based & been in the support group from 2016 my last review kept me in the group until 2020..I also get PIP at the high rate of daily living allowance only... Today I received a very threatening letter from the local job centre demanding that I attend an interview as their reviewing my benefits & circumstances.. They require all the information about my financial circumstances & threaten to stop my benefits if I don't comply... My question is as I don't claim any means-tested benefits do I have to comply with this intrusive request...
Thanks for any help with this matter...

Thanks Gordon will try again to phone them on Monday..I don't see why they would enquire into my financial status if I'm not claiming any means-tested benefits... Keep you posted on outcome...

Because it's the only way that you can force you to attend a meeting, this is and has always been rattling the cages of SG members.

Hi Gordon just an update to my benefits review interview at job centre.. I was ready to go today Monday 14th May at 9:30 with all the requested paper work in hand.. However 35 minutes before the interview I received a phone call from the person carrying out the interview informing me that they had checked my paper work & decided that I didn't have to attend.. For me it was an interview that I could have done without but for others waiting to attend,it must be quite daunting... I would have thought my paper work would have been checked long before this as I received their very threatening & intrusive letter over 2 weeks ago...My thoughts are with others going through this extremely worrying process... Thank you for your advice at all times...
