PIP query was created by Help999
Can I please ask for some advice. I am currently getting PIPS at the enhanced rate my PIPS score is 13 points. I have made some improvements and recovery in certain areas and have self assessed my PIPS score at 8 points so now will be eligible for the standard rate. I know I have to inform the DWP of my change of circumstances but will I have to go through the painful process of completing a new claim to be approved or will they adjust my points down when I inform them.
Many Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I'm afraid you do need to report any improvement and it will result in our receiving a new "how your disability effects you" form and there will almost certainly be a new face to face assessment. The new Decision which will result will supersede your existing award.
