Disability benefits for people older than 65?

I hope it is ok to ask a question for someone else?

I am not sure where to look. My mum has a friend aged 76. She was badly physically disabled in an accident a few years ago. She cannot walk more than a few feet and requires a car or taxi to take her everywhere. She also has quite advanced COPD. She requires oxygen up to 20 hours a day and cannot go anywhere unattended. She lives with her husband who is older than her.
I said to my mum that I would try to suss out what disability benefits, if any, an older person might get. I seem to think that PIP does not apply to people older than 65?
She does not have internet access herself. My mum has suggested CAB but she is very reluctant
.Even if I could be pointed in the right direction to look, that would be helpful.
