Hi, How many points does one need to qualify automatically for Blue Badge please in mobility section? Can points come from both Moving Around and Going Out? II have just (late April) automatically qualified for BB, due to Higher Rate Mobility award from DLA, and had that rating and BB since 1991. PIP assessment due next week (cancelled twice on the day by DWP). If I'm not awarded enough points for automatic BB, where does that leave my 3 year BB award, will it then be stopped, although I will appeal? Or, as it's already been awarded before the PIP assessment will it stand for next 3 years from DLA award? Is it correct that criteria for Blue Badge walking ability is less than 80m (with severe pain and discomfort - I'm not sure the exact wording)?
There's a section in the PIP Claim guide that explains the Blue Badge criteria in more detail but currently you need to score at least 8 points for Moving Around, points scored for Going Out will not count.
You need to unable to reliably stand and move (walk) more than 50m on the majority of days.
