I was awarded a blue badge yesterday, shall I ask for a copy of the assessment report and send it in with my PIP application?

Yes, it may help although the criteria is not identical, also the walking distance used is about 50m, so you may need to provide additional evidence if you want to show that it is more restricted.

I'm really struggling with what evidence to send in, ideally I would've wanted a paper assessment hence why I wanted to send in as much evidence as possible.

I would send whatever you have providing you can show it is relevant to your claim, try and reference the reports and letters in your claim form.
