Loss of incapacity was created by Janice.walton
Hi,I was taken off incapacity a number of years ago but did not appeal due to the fact I could not cope with the mental pressure.Does anyone know if I can be assessed to be reinstated and who I would contact to go about with the application.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
Your last assessment will have been for ESA.
Are you in a Universal Full Credit area?
If you aren't then you will only be able to make a new claim for ESA if you can show that you have a new condition or your original conditions have deteriorated since you last applied, such that you are reasonably likely to receive an award.
If you are in a UC area then you can apply for this and then ask to be assessed for Limited Capability for Work, this is basically the same as ESA but be aware you can be required to seek work until it is confirmed that you have LCW.
See our ESA Claim guides for details of the criteria you will need to meet.
