Transfer from dla to pip was created by Peta
I completied form PIP1 on behalf on my husband over the phone. We requested to be contacted by letter. I was asked for a telephone number and whether we would like text messages to keep us up todate with the claim. I gave my daughters mobile phone number and explained that they could leave messages which our daughter would tell us. I explained that i could not guarantee that we would receive messages straight away. A message was sent informing us that they had appointments available in the area over the next 7 days and to call if available. Our daughter opened the message but forgot to tell us. The time limit has now run out and we dont know what to do. We did not receive a letter and i do not know if this will be classed as a refusal. Also does anyone know whether this is normal as we requested a home visit. This is my second attempt to post this so i apologise if it crops up twice. Thank you

These texts are sent when the Assessment Provider is trying to fill short notice holes in their assessment diaries.
You do not need to accept these. You are entitled to seven days written notice of an assessment, although this will include postage time.
This will not count as a refusal and yo don't need to worry about any further texts like this that your daughter receives on your behalf unless you want to take the AP up on their offer.
