Compliance interview - 2nd this year?

Hi!
I was sent a letter about a compliance interview in January and had my ESA reduced by £80 a month. I was surprised and concerned to receive yet another letter last week. This time, I have to go into the job centre for an interview instead of a telephone interview.
I lost the money last time due to my teaching pension being too much per year. I’m 40 years old and had to take early retirement 3 years ago due to ill health. I can’t work as part of my pension and feel that I’m being punished if they take more money off me.
Any ad ice as to why they would send a second letter in a year? I’m in the ESA support group but based on my contributions. Why do they need to see my husbands earnings?

Is this actually described as a compliance interview or rather to ensure that the benefits that you are receiving are correct.

If the latter then in principle it's to see whether you would be entitled to an ESA(IR) top-up but if your ESA(CB) is being reduced by a pension then your won't qualify.

I would contact the advisor anad ask why they are asking for details of your husband's earnings given the claim is in your name only.
