ESA confusion

Hi, just a quick question:

I sent off my ESA50 with reams of supporting documents not just diagnosis but functional reports etc earlier last month. I never got an acknowledgement of receipt but called the Assessment centre who confirmed receipt over the phone. Called them again today to try and get a timetime and they just said it had been returned to DWP, even though haven’t been called for an assessment.
So I called DWP who said it hadn’t been logged back from assessment centre people but that didn’t mean it wasn’t on a decision makers desk.
Now I’m more than happy for a scrutiny based paper assessment but my question is, say they clear it within the next two weeks and I’m put into support group, will the extra support group payment start from then or does it start at the end of 13 weeks regardless?
