Representing daughter at PIP appeal was created by Pinktabulous
Hi

We have received our daughters PIP manadory reconsideration decision - she has gone from 0 points in both to 6 in care and 4 in mobility - so not enough for an award.

We are going to appeal as we disagree with the reasons why.

I’m following the advice in the PIP sections as to how to proceed.

The only questionI have is if I become her advocate will she need to appear before the tribunal? Her anxiety regarding the appearance is making her want to stop it and now.

Any advice welcome.

Do you mean her appointee

or her representative?

The former is more likely to be accepted as reason she does not have to attend but in both cases, I would write to the Judge in charge of your appeal to request that she does not have to attend.
