How long from PIP medical assessment to outcome?

How long from PIP medical assessment to outcome? was created by Jenny8022
Just wondering how long roughly it takes from having the PIP medical assessment to getting the outcome letter?

It should be 2-4 weeks but members have been reporting waits of 10 weeks due to the Summer holidays.

Thanks Gordon, I will definitely do that if I haven’t heard anything by Monday. I have been a bit preoccupied after finding out I may need further treatment and surgery so the PIP decision is not as much in my mind! (Though the extra money ,if the DM agrees with the assessor, would help with having to take more time off sick and travel to the specialist hospital 150 miles away!) My MP helped me speed up my initial claim 4 years ago and he is always very helpful. Maybe the brown envelope will arrive tomorrow......

Mine took seven weeks. Several people I know theirs took six weeks. The shortest time amongst my acquaintance was five weeks.
