ESA delayed was created by pamela
Hello all just to say I rang the DWP today asking if they could tell me when my ESA might be reviewed[due date this Nov] Was getting concerned as post as gone missing before through a trolley theft on this round. I was told my review had been put back another two years which is good news. I went on to ask if anything from specialists etc from years ago would be relevant and was told yes.So bare that in mind.I have not noticed other people s ESAs being redated perhaps some-one can enlighten me. Good Luck every-one.

Officially the DWP are no longer doing this but we have had a number of members report this happening. It's now quite infrequent but I don't doubt that you won't be the last to report this happening.

That's what I thought to I was told they probably went off my original claim which was some time ago.I can only imagine it's because I have a permanent injury from before birth which will never get better. So probably fit the criteria where they do not reassess a patient though I was under the impression they have to reassess you to put you in this category.Who knows!

According to what you have been told your reassessment has been deferred, I'm afraid that the DWP have not decided that you do not need further reassessment, this can only occur after a future reassessment.

Yes I understand this to be the case.I just don't understand why they deferred me and neither did the member of staff I spoke to.I wondered if it was the backlog and then as soon as I mentioned I was in the Support group she said it was probably because of that. There were no notes on the system she said.At one point she thought they might have contacted my DR I saw him a couple of days ago and mentioned the DWP he said he had heard nothing.
