Hi wondered if anyone can help? Trying to fill pip form for my husband as he can’t do it! He has Parkinson’s and has periods in the day when his medications wear off and it impacts on his thinking for example he can’t think clearly or quickly. Has any else tried to explain this type of thing in relation to going out?

The first thing that you need to do is to establish that he is affected on the majority of days and as his condition appears to be variable even within a day, you are going to have to show that this is far more often than the minimum 4 days a week, 16 days a month or 183 days a year.
Next, you will need to show that due to cognitive problems prevent him from following a route, it's not enough that he has the cognitive problems they must be specifically linked to problems with navigating his way from one place to another. He needs to do this reliably, so also consider the problems that he might have during the route, for example; can he choose safe places to cross a road?
Lastly, if there are places that he can get to on his own, what distinguishes them from ones he cannot follow the route to.
