Hello,
I am new to the site and currently waiting for my tribunal hearing which is set for Dec. My initial claim for PIP was don in October 2017. I was diagnosed with ME and fibromyalgia, having many problems and signed off work from November 2017 I was referred to London hospital to see 2 Professors and 2 Consultants who diagnosed me with Behcet’s syndrome. I am currently trialling low level medication. I suffer many dibilitating symptoms as well as having poor mental health issues due to the impact my condition has had on my life over the last 29 years. Because this is a rare condition not many doctors have heard of it. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of Behçets? I have the support of the Behçets society and the team at London’s centre of excellence are amazing.

PIP is not awarded for a conditon but rather the limitations that result in regard to a range of daily activities, I note that the severity of Behçets can vary from one person to another so you really need to explain how it affects you.
Have a look at our PIP Claim guide that you are being assessed against, the wording on the PIP2 form is a poor representation of the legal defined Descriptors.
