I am on ESA support . I got a letter saying that my sick note was expiring ,both my doctor and myself was /are convinced that I have never sent one in before. I telephoned and asked them when I had sent one they gave me a date and said I should get one in has my last one was about to expire?!. I saw my doctor and he had no record of me asking for a medical certificate either. My doctor gave me a medical certificate and they have now got it, .I just wondered if anyone else had a similar experience?
The letter was sent in error, they should have told you that when you phoned the Helpline as you are in the Support Group there is no requirement for you to supply Fit Notes, however, it worth contacting the DWP again to make sure that your record is set up correctly.
