I've now had my letter (saturday) telling me I have been put in the WRAG group. I feel I should be in the support group and have looked at the descriptors to support this.
I've never been through a mandatory reconsideration. Is it a horrible process?
Will my ESA be stopped whilst I am going through the mandatory reconsideration process?
If i am denied to be placed in the support group, will I automatically be reinstated in the WRAG or have to make a new claim for ESA?
Members may disagree but I don't think that the MR process is particularly horrible unless you are prone to stress while waiting for a Decision, you make your arguments, send them to the DWP and wait for a Decision.
As you have been awarded the WRAG component then this will remain in payment during any MR that you request. Unless the MR removes the WRGA award, which is extremely unlikely then you will retain the award even if you are not placed in the SG.
