I am on my final appeal for pips {both parts} and have just received a phone call from the DWP stating that they would give me the lower amount for mobility { £22.65} which they would pay me immediatly.If I accepted this my claim would be over , is this simply a ruse as they think I'm entitled to more?Please could anyone share their thoughts on this. Thankyou
It's not a ruse but that is not to say that you cannot receive a higher award.
Your choices are;
- reject the offer and continue with your appeal - accept the offer in which case your appeal will be lapsed (cancelled) - accept the award and when it is in payment make a new appeal for a higher award.
The decision is obviously yours but have you considered how reasonable the award you were appealing for is?
