I have been on ESA since it changed from incapacity benefit so quite a while, I recently 4 weeks ago had to go to a face to face assessment for my ESA and around a week ago I received a letter stating that I was being taken out of the support group and into the work group,
My interrogation was over in 24 minutes,
I have very bad anxiety and according to my dr paranoid personality disorder along , I cannot face strangers or crowds and have massive attacks leaving my house, which can lead to me having incintonince at the most scary places and highly embarrassing,
I cannot use public transport as I get very nervous ,
Anyway the assessment dr noted I was having problems during the interrogation and I was physically vomiting into her waste bin with my nerves giving up,
No idea how at the end of her summary she summed up she believe I should be interrogated again in 18 months
So I have asked for a mandorary appeal as she has put a lot of incorrect information on my summing up,
Well as if that’s not enough for me it has taken me weeks to finally be able to type here but I am feeling so sick I need advice as tomorrow I am getting interrogated again for my pip ,
My last assessment was that I scored 2 points on most things when I should of got 8 as I have done the test here on the site , my main one I got no points for the incintiance as they did not have any evidence and did not believe me I guess , but I scored 0 on that , my total score was 11 points so I have been receiving the lower rate for last 3 years,
I scored only 4 on the mobility ? I cannot use public transportation and I panic and would get lost and would never be able to as a stranger the way to get home ,,
I am feeling terribly sick at moment with worry and terribly depressed , I am worried they will take away my pip and we will struggle , I really don’t want to have to face going an appeal and I am being forced to go to these interrogation, I should of written more on the form but cannot even remember getting it, I have terrible memory ,
I am able bodied but cannot cook anything, I nearly burnt the house down years ago forgetting something was on stove , I am a danger with cutting myself or someone else, so surely I should be getting 8 points for that but I scored 2 years ago
Please can anyone advise if my problems entitle me to be on pip and how do I explain it properly and not be led by the assessor to say the wrong thing
I have tried reading through the downloads here but cannot really understand it in detail
Please advise I am going to place tomorrow ,
My wife is my Carer and cannot come with me to interrogation as she has to take kids to school , so her friend is going to drive me there but she doesn’t know my condion so will wait in car ,
I am terribly worried
Thank you

I'm afraid a lot will depend on what you have written on the latest claim form and what you say in the interview, I can say that attending on your own has the potential to lose you points in activities such as Mixing with Other People and Going Out.
My best advice is to have a look at our PIP Claim guide to better understand the criteria against which you are being assessed, there are also sections on the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.

Gordon can I just ask for some clarification about the bit in bold. When you say "attending on your own" do you mean going to the PIP centre alone or going to the actual assessment (i.e. the actual face-to-face bit) alone. I'm interested as at my original PIP assessment the assessor noted on the PA4 that I was accompanied to the centre but undertook the assessment alone. It's almost as if the latter was more important than the former.Gordon wrote: alesypalsy

They are both important, the OP is entering the building on their own, their driver is staying in the car so there is no proof that anybody has come with them.

my assessment really had me panicking and I was physically sick in her office, I also had a but of incontinace and felt terribly embarrassed , I wet the chair and vomited with nerves over the foot and the paper work I had taken,
It has taken me 2 days to be able to type this here,
I could not look the asserer in the eye and felt terrible like I was not going to be able to leave the place,
reading here about being given points I am going to be shocked if the asserer has written any thing incorrectly and I have to go through more of this punishment, it really is completely worrying,
It like getting a flare up of mental punishment,
my main points I cannot use public transport which I explained, I cannot socialise , I also explained the last time I went to the park with my wife I had a bout of incontinace from which I suffer everyday at home , I lose control and wont know until its to late,
would there be a way I can find out what the report says before I get a desion? my last pip assessment was in 2015 and for some reason I explained my uncontrollable problem with toilet needs and I scored 0 points,, in fact the main problems I have were scored 0 -2 when I should of got in my opinion much higher scores , my total was 11, so I was on the lower rate,,
now I am worried I will be reduced as incorrect report will be written again and the people know I get totally sick and find it hard to face them as to they think I will not appeal,, but when I am home I can get courage up to write her and write to them maybe,
please advise
thank you

I'm sorry that the assessment was so difficult for you.
Give it a couple of days and then contact the DWP office dealing with your claim for a copy of the assessment report.
