Whilst speaking to dwp in July we were informed that because both my husband and I both claimed contributions based esa support group and pip then we qualified for further benefit. This took my husbands benefit from £221.50 per fortnight to £385.20 per fortnight We do not know what benefit this extra money is but we're led to believe it was a disability premium If anyone can explain what this extra money is or if it's a mistake we would be very grateful
I can't get to £385.20 exactly but I don't know all of your circumstances, but basically, the maths is as follows, I'm using weekly amounts;
Couples Allowance - £114.85 (up from single - £73.10) Support component - £37.65 Couples Enhanced Disability Premium - £23.55 (for being in the SG) Couples Severe Disability Premium - £128.60 (for PIP DL award) Total - £304.65
From this is deducted your
Single Allowance - £73.10 SG Component - £37.65 Total - £110.75
Leaving - £193.90
Fortnightly - £387.80
I'm not sure where the £1.30 per week is.
