hi I separated from my partner and I am considered as a non dependant my ex is the sol tenant of the house when I move to my own place can I keep my esa and ask for sdp without making a new claim for housing benefit I will pay the rent myself and I read in your forum that on 19th of January 2019 a new rule will apply so I will not have to change to uc but claim hb and stay on esa.
If you are not going to make a new claim for Housing Benefit then your ESA will not be moved to UC until it is migrated as part of the Managed transfer of ESA claimants to UC.
